There has been, in recent times, an increase in the numbers of Claims Management Companies operating in the UK. Claims Management itself has become very big business.
A Claims Management Company is in effect a company that is set up, under the watchful eye of the Ministry of Justice, with the purpose of securing cases to be passed on to solicitors for a fee.
There is however currently the fear that the advertising methods used by such companies is creating a claims culture. The term ‘no win, no fee’ has attracted a good deal of attention.
The concern has led the the Government to review the entire industry.
